Our Policies

CLASSES- Classes run from September through the beginning of June, culminating with our annual Recital held at The Lycian Centre in Sugar Loaf, NY. The curriculum is designed for the student who enters in September and studies throughout the school year. Classes may be entered on a space available basis through January.

TUITION - Is based on a yearly fee that is broken down into 10 monthly payments. A 10% discount is given for tuition paid for the year before the start of our dance season. Monthly payments are due on the 1st day of each month; after the 15th, there will be a $10 late fee applied to your account. Refunds are not given for classes missed or unattended. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. (There will be a $35 fee for any returned checks.)

FEES - Classes missed due to illness may be made up in another class of an appropriate level within one month. Clases that are cancelled by the studio for weather, etc., will be rescheduled or assigned to another class.
Cancellations due to inclement weather will be announced on the studio answering machine and listed on the web site. Refunds or credits will not be given for missed lessons. The only exceptions are prolonged illness or injury verified by a doctor's note.

CLASS LEVELS - Classes after Grade 1/2 go by levels; students are placed in the appropriate level for their abilities - classes do not go by age alone. Students must be able to eexecture proper technique and have the approval of the director or teacher before they can move up to the next level.

• Consistent delinquent payments on accounts over 60 days may result in the suspension of that student's participation in class.
• No credit will be given for any missed classes (including extended absence due to extended vacations, etc). Students have one month to make up missed classes.
• No student will participate in the recital until all fees, late fees, and costume fees are received and cleared.
• If needed, please call the office to set up an alternate payment plan. We do not want to deny any student the opportunity to dance if a viable solution is available.

ANNUAL RECITAL- Students are invited to participate in our annual Recital. The cost is not included in tuition. Students will be asked to buy costumes. Parents, friends, etc., who wish to watch the show must purchase a ticket. Specific information about the Performance will be given out early in the new year.

COSTUME DEPOSITS: A non-refundable costume deposit is charged for each costume for the annual recital which is held in June. Costumes run approximately $70 each - costume deposits are due in November (date TBA) and will be $35 for each costume. Costume balances are typically due in January. If your child is not performing, we must have notice no later than November 20th. If your child withdraws from classes after costumes are ordered, the costume deposit and the costume are forfeited. No refunds, credits or exchanges on costumes.
